Treasure Chest Prizes: We are always in need of small prizes for our treasure chest. If you have any new or gently used toys that you would like to donate, we would be happy to receive them. Parents often donate Happy Meal toys. Please understand that toy weapons are not permitted.
Special Classes: Our student’s curriculum is enriched with specialty classes that they will attend each week. Students will attend the following classes: ✶ Gym ✶ Music ✶ Library ✶ Art ✶ Computers
Newsletter: A monthly classroom newsletter will be uploaded on our classroom website to keep you updated and informed about what is going on. This newsletter will tell you about upcoming events, special rewards, past events, special activities, and other important information that will be helpful to you. I really want to encourage you to make time to review the newsletter as well as talk about school activities with your child. This will show your child that you are interested in his/her school and progress.
Birthdays: We love to celebrate birthdays at school. If you would like to have your child celebrate his/her day with his/her classmates, you may do so in a few different ways. You may: ·send treat bags or prizes, no whistles or no balloons ·donate a book to the class library ·donate a game or toy to the class
Book Clubs: I will send home information about purchasing books through various book clubs.
B.E.E. Awards: B- being E- excellent E- everywhere Each Friday, two students will be chosen to receive a B.E.E. award for good behavior. The students will be allowed to go to the office to choose a small prize.
100 Club:Once your child can count to 100 independently, they will become a member of the 100 Club. They will receive a certificate.
Person of the Week:I will be introducing a new student each week. On Fridays, I will send home a “Top Banana.” packet with a different student to bring back on Monday. They also will be bringing home our stuffed class monkey (Marley) and his journal. Please send both back to school on Monday, as well. Marley will be washed between visits!
Report cards: During the year, you will receive your child’s report card three times.
